St Patrick's Day Parade Stockholm

PROGRAMME (subject to change):

12:00 St. Patrick's Day event begins and Kungsträdgården becomes a sea of green.

• Children's activities
• • Face-painting
  • Balloons
  • Fiskdamm for the smallest
  • Games
    
• Irish-speaking corner "Pop-up Gaeltacht" run by Gaeilgóiri na tSualainn will be chatting away.
  
• • Children who can answer questions "Do you speak Irish? What is your name?" will get Irish pennies, and there will be sweets for children who can ask for them in Irish! There'll be games and a competition to guess the number of pennies in a purse. You'll need to post your answer in the Facebook group Gaeilgóiri na tSualainn where the winner will also be anounced.

  • Guinness (alcohol-free and regular) and warm food served by Wirströms pub (on site)
• St Patrick himself and Irish Wolfhounds will be milling around

  • Tannasg Pipe Band will be warming up
• Need to complete your outfit? We'll have a large selection of St Patrick's Day merchandise (hats, hair ties, flags, wigs etc) for sale. (Swish only.) Early customers will be entered into a raffle for prizes from Törst.
  

13:15 Speeches and announcements by St. Patrick, Ambassador of Ireland to Sweden Austin Gormley and Swedish Irish Society chairperson.

13:30 Parade starts: Kungsträdgården - Hamngatan - Sergels torg - Sveavägen - Kungsgatan - Birger Jarlsgatan - Hamngatan - Kungsträdgården

14:30 - 16:30 Fantastic performances
