Annual Swedish Irish Society Christmas Dinner

As the nights grow darker and the windows become brighter our popular annual Christmas dinner will celebrate the end of another fantastic year at The Swedish Irish Society. This dinner will feature a traditional Irish Christmas turkey-and-ham dinner, carols, music and more!

This year we’ve brought the celebrations even closer to the city for our members and non-members. We will be hosting at Oxen, Malmskillnadsgatan, right beside Hötorget underground station, for ease of travel for participants. This beautiful and central location will allow all those attending a wonderful night without any hassle of getting home. 

We will start with a warming glögg to warm from the cold Swedish weather, followed by dinner, a quiz, raffle, music and dancing. It’s sure to be a great night of Swedish and Irish traditions with new and old friends. We will be starting at 17:00 to warm the bones before seating at about 18:15 to tuck into our roast dinner! 

Join us to get a taste of "home", or experience how Christmas dinner is celebrated in Ireland. Open to members and guests of members. Note: drinks are not included in the price except for welcome drink.  All dietary requirements can be met but please include them under allergies. Thank you!

Starter: Salmon tartar

Main: Turkey, stuffing, ham, roast potatoes, glazed carrots, brussel sprouts, gravy

Dessert: Have to keep something a surprise!
