If you have any questions about how we handle your data, please contact the Society's president and secretary. You will reach both by emailing info@swedishirish.com.

We use Wild Apricot for membership management and event registration, and Mailchimp for newsletter distribution. We use Nordea and Swish to handle payments. We use Google and WhatsApp for internal board communication but member data is not transferred there.

Members' whose membership has lapsed are retained in the database for up to 18 months and continue to receive information occasionally unless they unsubscribe or request to be removed. All mass emails contain an "unsubscribe link".

You can choose whether you want to share information on the website with other members, by sharing event registration status, creating a member profile on the website or joining the Facebook group.

Board members are required to respect the personal integrity of members and treat personal data carefully, in line with GDPR.
