October SIS Book Club ”Olive Kitteridge” by Elizabeth Strout (6 Oct 2026)

Our next read is Michelles choice.
Meet Olive Kitteridge: a retired schoolteacher who is blunt on the surface, but possesses a complex, deeply human heart. In Elizabeth Strout’s Pulitzer Prize-winning novel, we follow Olive and the residents of a small coastal Maine town through the messy, beautiful realities of everyday life—navigating marriage, grief, aging, and unexpected friendships. Written as a series of interconnected stories, the book offers a remarkably honest look at human nature that is both fiercely witty and deeply moving. We hope this book will spark rich debate, personal reflections, and an unforgettable conversation at our next book club.

We ll meet in SpongeCookies Cafe, Kocksgatan 19 on 6/10 from 18.00-19.30.

Welcome!

No registration necessary!
